submit to the archive

this is a place for the in-between. for uncertainty, fluidity, and ephemerality within trans and gender-diverse experiences. the neither-here-nor-there. an archive of shifting presentation, non-linear transitions, false starts and detours, expansive or fluctuating identities, unfinished stories, difficult choices, and everything left behind. the messy and sometimes contradictory process of self-definition.

you can submit text, images, videos, screenshots, scanned documents, voice memos, notes to self – whatever feels the most true to your experience. it can be polished or messy, raw or poetic, short or long. blur, redact, annotate, splice, scribble, or leave it unfinished entirely.

you don’t need to include a name or a title unless you want to. you can submit anonymously, with your real name, a pseudonym, multiple names, or whatever feels the most authentic. you can choose to add text to describe, contextualize, annotate, or confuse the narrative of your submission, but this is also optional. you do need to include at least three tags for the sake of archival navigation. one should describe the medium (like #photo, #textile, #digital), and the others can describe tone, theme, or feeling (like #fluidity, #mourning, #quiet, #ritual).

there’s also space to note any content warnings if necessary. entries with trigger tags will be blurred until the viewer chooses to see them. everything you submit will be reviewed before it’s added to the archive, not for gatekeeping but for the sake of care for each other (all submissions will be approved so long as they are submitted in good faith and not actively malicious).

thank you for sharing a piece of your journey.
